RE: Bad smell in 5er - only when towing???

Might want to check your batteries. They can give off a rotten egg smell when going bad. Smell is from hydrogen sulfide gas being off-gassed from shorted plated. etc.

RE: Wow Any Advive Welcome--TV Antenna Queston

I think I understand your problem, so here goes. I broke off a roof mount antenna and went through a similar problem. I wound up removing the crankup handle from inside the coach. Found that there was a splice connector there that had a piece of rg-6 (gray cable) that went up through the routing tube, I unscrewed it from below. Fished a new short piece of cable that was supplied with the new antenna, and connected to the new antenna. If you have already cut off the coach side of the coax, you can go to Radio Shack and buy a screw on replacement fitting. This will keep you from having to crimp the new fitting on. Also a word of caution, rtv the cable in the routing tube and also a bead around the rubber boot where the coax goes through to prevent leaks. Good luck.

RE: Need a good camp chair

If you have a Sams Club in you area, look at the chairs they have. They sell for about $22. My wife has severe back problems and this is the only chair she is comfortable in. They colaspe, but are cloth with padding sewn in. They also have a side table that swings up w/cup holder. We both now have them and leave all the others at home. I might add these chairs sell for around $60. everywhere else.

RE: Washer/Dryer Opinions Please

Are the stacksble units 110 volts? Sounds like the way to go. The wife and I have been considering the investment. Our unit is wired and plumbed for washer units. (110 volt) Thanks

RE: Five Star RV Resort, Pass Christian, MS ???

I drove through a couple of months ago. They were working on cleaning things up. Still not a very nice looking place. Old and run down. I suggest going on to exit 41. There are two camp grounds, Parkers Lake and Mazalea. Either one is fairly nice. I perfer Parkers landing.

RE: 2007 Chevy 2500HD Dur/All Maintenance Schedule

Should be a couple of manuals in the glove box. One for, gasoline, and another for the Duramax engine & transmission. In the back of these there is a schedule for maintenance intervals.

RE: Glen Canyon dam parking

Ther was plenty of room when I was there in 2004. They have a section that is away from main parking area. Should not be a problem.

LED battery monitor circuit

Someone on here ran a circuit that could be built and installed accross house batteries that was visible from outside the rig to monitor the batter charge levels. Does anyone still have it? Thanks

RE: REPORT YOUR TIRE -FAILURES- HERE -

Goodyear Marathon, one after pulling home from a hurricane run. Noticed a big knot on sidewall as wife and I were putting camper in the yard. Since it was late we left it, next morning while I was picking up debris from storm, it blew setting in yard. 2nd Marathon blew on trip to Daytona for Rally, had checked tires at rest stop about 5 miles back, when tire shredded. I think the 2nd blew the valve stem out. I have since changed all four tires and installed steel valve stems, as found evidence of cracking on the remaining old ones.

RE: Gallup NM to Montrose CO

Just back fro Gunnison co. I agree that the road fro Silverton to Ouray, while a pretty drive, is not one I would want to pull or drive a rig over. I saw some doing it but with the sheer drops off the side , its not something I recommend. Going through Ridgeway would be best. There a couple of state run campgrounds on a lake just north of Ridgeway that are nice. Enjoy.

RE: I-25 from Santa Fe, NM to Colorado Springs, CO

I ran it from northern Wyoming (Orin) down thru Cheyenne and Denver. Had no problems pulling my 36 ft 5th wheel with 2500HD Duramax GMC. Most are long and should give you no problems. (August 2007)
